If you asked me to write an “about me” for someone I’d have no problem, but writing one for myself is another story! So here goes.
I’m an information junkie. My thurst for knowledge is never appeased and neither is my craving for chocolate.
I’m a wife, mother of one teenager and five fur-babies, a graphic designer and a recipe developer. I have either the magazine or the recipe I tore out of a magazine from as far back as age 9. Plus, I get a rush out of watching the smiles on my family and friend’s faces when they enjoy my cooking.
There a number of food bloggers I’ve been following for awhile. It never ceases to amaze me how incredibly creative they are in recipe development; they’re ability to create a work of art out of styling something as simple as green beans or a bowl of tomatoes and how they can produce photos that make you want to lick your computer screen. They set the bar pretty high!
WHAT YOU GET FROM THIS BLOG
Here you’ll find recipes created by me and ones I’ve tried from around the web, magazines, newspapers, TV, friends and family – Never limit yourself. Cooking is about experimenting and sharing. If I get up enough courage I might even share the bloopers with you.
As of the start of this blog I would rate my photographic attempts as “I suck.” A very dear and patient photography friend generously critiques my attempts, but I’m still in the novice category and I’m using my iPhone to take the photos. Why my iPhone? Well, I also have a financial background and the analytical side of my brain just can’t justify the expense until the creative side masters food styling and layout. Just as much as I love to sink my teeth into a yummy piece of chocolate and savor the flavor, I love the challenge of taking pictures that will make readers want to lick their computer screen. I’m afraid I have a loooooong way to go though. Ya gotta start somewhere!
Thank you for stopping by my little corner of the net and I hope you’ll continue to join me in my culinary and photographic adventures.
Here’s to a wonderful journey together,
