These days people are juggling so much we all need an extra energy boost. Looking back at my childhood and my parent’s lifestyle it all seems so laid back by comparison to life today. We end up drinking gallons of coffee, bottles of vitamins and downing a few energy drinks along the way so we can get more done. Who knew that a simple super green juice could be just what you needed to boost your energy anytime of day?
“Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food,” is one of my favorite quote by Hippocrates. And it’s so true! This super simple green juice packs a wallop of antioxidants and frankly it’s energy in a glass. I like to add a heaping teaspoon of Spirulina to mine and sometimes a teaspoon of Hemp oil.
These are best drank as soon as you make them because they will start to loose the vitamins. I stumbled across the basic recipe on Joe Cross’s site Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead and he has a book— Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead. His site is a treasure trove of juicing information and recipes along with success stories for changing your lifestyle by juicing. We’re certainly not hard core but we drink this juice at least three or four times per week. It just makes sense and is a great way to start the day feeling light, refreshed with energy to spare.
